Moillard is a historic Burgundian négociant house located in the Côte d'Or. The domaine is based in Nuits-Saint-Georges, although its 20 hectares (49 acres) of vineyard land spread from the north to the south of the region. Moillard was established by Symphorien Moillard in 1850 and remained in the family until 2008 when it was sold to Vincent Sauvestre.
This wine offers aromas of black fruits on the nose. The notes of blackberry or blueberry are followed by liquorice and cocoa. On the palate, one finds sices on an elegant and refined toast. The supple and dense tannins go along with the fruits, in a long finish.
