The Domaine de L’Ostal Grand Vin is the essence of the domaine. The grapes are carefully selected according to strict criteria which retains less than a third of the terroir’s total production.
This Grand Vin is then aged for 12 months in French oak barrels. The Grand Vin has an intense dark color and reveals a bouquet of candied black fruits enhanced with a touch of black pepper and roasted notes (coffee, caramel, dark chocolate). On the palate, the wine is silky, full-bodied and combines seductive notes of ripe red fruits with the characteristic essences of the terroir (garrigue, lavender, thyme, sandalwood). Velvety tannins which are backed up by a pleasant freshness gives to the wine a good potential for bottle age.
Blend of 70% Syrah, 15% Carignan, 10% Grenache, 5% Mourvèdre.
